If so, Scaled Analytics is looking for you. We currently have an opening for a junior to intermediate Software Developer at our office in Kanata, Ontario.

 

Responsibilities

As a Software Developer, you will assist with the development of our Sky Analyst software suite.

Sky Analyst is a cloud-based SaaS solution built on the Microsoft Azure infrastructure. Airlines, Business Jet Operators and Helicopter Operators around the world rely on Sky Analyst for regularly monitoring the flight data from the aircraft “Black Boxes” and analyzing that data during aircraft incidents and anomalies.

It sounds exciting because it is exciting.

Your role will be to help maintain that software and assist in the development of new features. Because Scaled Analytics is a small company, you will be exposed to all aspects of the software development process.

Some of your immediate duties will include:

  • Implement new software features as determined by Product Management.
  • Resolve software defects.
  • Assist Flight Data Analysts by building and testing statistical reports from the Sky Analyst Database.
  • Support the development of our 3D flight animation system.
  • Support the Quality Assurance process through the development and configuration of testing scrips, as required.
  • Support the development of mobile applications related to the Sky Analyst core product.
  • Support the R&D effort through rapid prototyping of new features and technologies. 

 

Requirements

  • You are passionate about software development and computers. You love computers and learning new technologies.
  • You have a College Diploma or University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming or equivalent.
    • (Recent or upcoming graduates are encouraged to apply)
  • You have experience (either through school projects or work experience) with some or all of the following:
    • C#
    • NET
    • jQuery
    • HTML
    • JavaScript
    • SQL/TSQL
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, Heroku or other similar PaaS would be considered a strong asset.
  • You have great ideas and love collaborating with others to come up with the best possible solutions. As such, working with your teammates in an office setting rather than remotely is your preferred method of getting things done.
