About Scaled Analytics

Scaled Analytics is a leading provider of flight data analysis solutions. By leveraging flight recorder (“blackbox”) data we analyze flights for aircraft around the globe to improve safety and training, resolve and prevent maintenance issues, and monitor fuel usage and carbon emissions.

Scaled Analytics’ core product is Sky Analyst, which is a modern cloud-based software as a service (SaaS) program, providing Flight Data Monitoring (FDM), Safety Management System (SMS) and flight data recorder analysis.

 

The Position

Scaled Analytics is looking for an individual with a passion for aviation, a technical aptitude, team spirit, and a willingness to learn. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, the ability to work independently or in a small team, and is not afraid to ask for help when needed.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Operate Scaled Analytics’ software to ensure system and data integrity.
  • Validate and analyze flight data.
  • Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports and statistical data to identify safety and operational trends.
  • Provide customer support.
  • Provide customer training in use of Scaled Analytics software.
  • Configure software to convert aircraft recorded parameters from raw flight data to engineering units.
  • Program events according to specified limits.
  • Perform flight recorder parameter reasonableness checks.
  • Conduct Aircraft incident investigation.
  • Support software engineering team in testing new software releases.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Must Have

  • Post secondary education in a technical discipline OR appropriate experience in a Flight Data Monitoring role.
  • Advanced level Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in Power BI.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Strong work ethic and integrity.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive data.
  • Good understanding of aircraft systems and flight controls.
  • This position requires 3-5 years relevant work experience in the aviation industry.

 

Nice to Have

  • Technical airline experience.
  • Fixed Wing and/or helicopter piloting experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Database knowledge.
  • A second language.
